The black book of colours

An instruction to reading with feeling by Menena Cottin and Rosana Faria

In the "Black Book of Colours", Thomas, who is blind, can smell, taste and feel colours. Red tastes of strawberries, green of peppermint ice cream. Yellow feels as soft as the baby chick's feathers. An extraordinary and insightful book experience: the left page is reserved for colour descriptions in Braille and visuals. The right page captures the descriptions in relief-like printed illustrations that the reader can feel with their fingertips.
