The Environmental Charta and the Eco Certificate's Logo

We’re rooted in our homeland and proud of our location. That’s why it goes without saying that we minimize our consumption of natural resources and that all our activities are in harmony with respect for the environment.

Gmund and their customers abide by the terms of the Environmental Charta, which obliges them to uphold the four pillars of environmental protection in the paper industry.

  • Water: Water consumption is continually reduced through efficient optimization measures. Only Gmund treats its industrial water with ozone and entirely without chemicals.
  • Resources: Gmund’s paper is FSC®-certified (FSC-C006462).
  • Waste: Waste is separately collected and recycled.
  • Engergy: Thanks to in-house facilities, we produce up to 75% of our electrical current through water power, solar energy and power-heat coupling – without generating CO2.

Customers can show their commitment to the environment by putting the Eco Certificate’s Logo on their printed materials and on their homepage. The Eco Certificate's Logo is available free of charge by request from Mr. Maximilian Huber,

Using paper from Gmund actively contributes toward protecting our environment.

Gmund has been FSC®-certified (FSC-C006462) since July 2006. The certificate is valid for Gmund and Lakepaper.
