Gmund on the Green Carpet

07. June 2019

The long-awaited event took place from May 23 to 25, when the first GREENTECH FESTIVAL rolled out its “Green Carpet” on the grounds of decommissioned Berlin-Tempelhof Airport. Of course, there’s nothing new about the fact that environmental and climate protection must be conceived in a global context. Whether the theme is e-mobility, the avoidance of plastic packaging, recycling, upcycling or countless other aspects, no one can steer clear of this topic nowadays.

With over 120 partners, the GREENTECH FESTIVAL offers large and small companies, NGOs and associations an international stage to present the best environmental protection projects. They award prizes, network with one another and communicate “green” lifestyle. Gmund Paper supports this commitment and is the official partner of the biggest environmental award for the seventh time.

At the heart of the GREENTECH FESTIVAL, the GREEN AWARDS honored the most innovative of the “green” projects and pioneers for the twelfth consecutive time.

“The GREENTECH FESTIVAL and Gmund Paper go very well together. We share the commitment to bring together ecology and technology, as well as the ongoing effort to promote sustainable resource management. We have set standards in the paper industry with our Environmental Charter and we continue to invest to become even better,” explains Florian Kohler, owner of Gmund Paper and member of the GREEN AWARD jury.
