"No product can be sold without a tangible experience"

"No product can be sold without a tangible experience," says Michael Neugart, chairman of the board of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen Vertrieb Deutschland. "The printed medium changes the communication and the purchasing decisions in daily life," Neugart adds.

Florian Kohler talked with Michael Neugart about visions, trends and why Heidelberg believes in the print medium:

For the first contact, it’s important to give a tangible impulse to the interested persons, but they don’t get that from Google, Neugart explains. Heidelberg continually strives to develop new machinery so printing houses can produce innovative communications media.

Kohler and Neugart agree that it’s essential to give customers genuine added value. That’s why, for example, it’s increasingly important to individualize the printed products. Complex software solutions are needed to accomplish that individualization. Colored papers like the Gmund Colors System with its 48 colors and four surfaces offer interesting new impulses for Heidelberg.
